Free Pick-Up Service
The ReBuilding Center offers a free pick-up service for used building materials. To find out if your items qualify for a free pick-up, call our Driving Department at (503)445-1520. You can also email photographs of items, along with your name and a contact phone number, to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
Approximately one-third to one-half of all donations and the majority of the lumber coming into The ReBuilding Center are through this free pick-up service. A fleet of eight vehicles—powered by biodiesel—offers 2500 free pick-ups of used building material annually.
The Driving Department was the 2007 recipient of the Ray Ford “Golden Torch” Award from the Association of Oregon Recyclers for innovation and commitment in the field of recycling.
