Women's* Intro to Electrical for Homeowners

* Women's classes are a safe and supportive learning environment specifically for women to develop carpentry and related skills.

Learn how to safely replace outlets, switches, and light fixtures. These simple skills can save you tons on an electrician's bill or a home remodel. Lots of hands-on practice along with loads of info to help you decide which projects to tackle yourself, and when to ask for expert help.

Skill level: This class is built for beginners.

Topics covered:
* how does all this even work? - demystifying the basics
* "hot" or not? - making sure it's safe to work
* then & now - simple updates vs major re-wiring
* making safe connections

** This class focuses on common 110V "finish" electrical, and provides a foundation for more advanced topics that won't be covered in this class (i.e. new wiring, adding receptacles, going off-grid).
