Learn how to safely replace outlets, switches, and light fixtures. These simple skills can save you tons on an electrician's bill or a home remodel, or even bring an old lamp back to life. Lots of hands-on practice along with loads of info to help you decide which projects to tackle yourself, and when to ask for expert help.

Skill level: This class is built for beginners.

Topics covered:
* how does all this even work? - demystifying the basics
* "hot" or not? - making sure it's safe to work
* then & now - simple updates vs major re-wiring
* making safe connections

** This class focuses on common 110V "finish" electrical, and provides a foundation for more advanced topics that won't be covered in this class (i.e. running new wiring, adding receptacles, going off-grid).
