CLASS DESCRIPTION

Do you have a lamp that doesn't work anymore? Would you like to learn some basic electrical skills? Join us for this hands-on lamp repair class being held in collaboration with Repair PDX

You can bring your own lamp to repair* or use the practice lamps provided in class. All leftover repaired lamps will be donated to Community Warehouse after the workshop.

Instructors from Repair PDX will cover these topics:

  • The basics of electricity

  • Safety when working with electricity

  • Using wire stripping tools effectively

  • The parts and techniques necessary to rewire a lamp

(*Please bring table or floor lamps only. This class is not intended to repair ceiling or wall-mounted light fixtures.) 

Skill level: This class is ideal for beginners ages 18 and over

Class Schedule: Class will run for 2 hours and no breaks are planned
