Carpentry and basic electrical in one fabulous NEW class! Using our elegant design, reclaimed Douglas Fir lumber, and gorgeous Color Cord Company fabric-covered cords and sockets, you’ll make a rustic hanging sconce which will add light and character to any room.
Students will be given basic bulbs to take home as part of their lamp, but decorative or specialty bulbs (like the Edison bulb pictured here) are BYOB: Bring Your Own Bulb.
Topics covered:
Measuring & marking accurately
Using chop saws safely
Drills and drivers
Drill press and angle jig
Using wire stripping tools effectively
The parts and techniques necessary to wire a simple lamp socket
Skill level: This class is ideal for beginners ages 18 and over as well as 16 and 17 year-olds with parent or guardian permission.
Class Schedule: Class will run for 3 hours and no breaks are planned
Price: $90 + $10 materials = $100 General Admission / $30 Scholarship
