COVID-19 VACCINATION & MASKING REQUIREMENTS
Starting January 1, 2022, all students participating in in-person classes at the ReBuilding Center Education Shop will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test performed within the prior 72 hours. Check out our FAQs & Safety Guidelines for more details.
In addition, masks are required for all students, staff, and volunteers per guidelines announced by the Oregon Health Authority on August 11. We encourage wearing N95 masks when possible and we will have some available for student use in class. Safety glasses are also required for most of our classes, and if you do not have an N95 mask we recommend at least wearing a mask with a wire nosepiece to help reduce fogging.
See below for additional health and safety precautions.
CLASS DESCRIPTION
Have you ever wondered what essential tools are useful around the house, or maybe you've been curious about what to do with some of the tools you already own? This is the class for you!
Join us for a hands-on and skill-building tour around a toolbox. You'll get a chance to try out some tools like drills and drivers, practice better hammering techniques, learn how to use tools like levels and clamps, and discover more about measuring tapes than you ever knew was possible. Great for both homeowners and renters!
This is a skills-based class where you will learn how to use tools but you will not make a project to take home.

Using screwdrivers effectively, and when to use screws
Using hammers effectively, and when to use nails
