CLASS DESCRIPTION
Introducing one of the most versatile tools in the shop: the router! Whether you're looking to make your own decorative trim or get more advanced with joinery techniques, this class provides a great overview of the essentials of safely operating and maintaining different styles of routers and router bits. These tools, when used for all their worth, will absolutely save you time and money. Come join us!
This is a skills-based class where you will learn how to use routers but you will not make a project to take home.
Topics covered:
Uses for routers, including making your own trim
Differences between a standard "fixed" router, trim router, and plunge router
Setting up a router table
Basics of mortising
Much more!
Skill level: This is for adults aged 18 or over as well as 16 and 17 year-olds with parent or guardian permission. While not required, some familiarity with basic woodworking skills is a plus.
Class Schedule: Class will run for 3 hours and no breaks are planned
