This class is taught by local artist Pam Consear from All Hands Art!
How do you get the beauty of mosaic without the mess and dust of grouting? I’ll show you in this one-day Stained Glass Mosaics workshop! You’ll learn how to safely cut glass and mirror, then use the pieces (along with hardware bits, baubles, and beads) to create stunning little works of art on a small panel or picture frame. All materials will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your stash of broken jewelry or other small doodads to incorporate into your piece.
Topics covered:
How to safely cut glass and mirror, including when to use a rotary cutter, and when a scoring tool and running pliers are preferred
How to arrange your pieces of glass and mirror into a design of your choosing (Design help is available!)
Ideas for using hardware bits, baubles, beads, pebbles, and other small objects to enhance your art piece
Which types of adhesives are appropriate for which materials
