Join the ReBuilding Center for a fun, hands-on woodworking project! In this class, you’ll learn how to build a homemade candy dispenser perfect for jelly beans, gumballs, or your choice of candy! Using simple materials and tools, you'll cut, assemble, and sand your very own dispenser while learning key woodworking skills like measuring, drilling, and using wood glue.
Participants will get a chance to work on real projects, learn valuable skills, and explore pathways to rewarding careers in the trades.
The best part? This class is FREE for income qualified families!
Topics covered:
Basic woodworking techniques
How to measure and cut materials safely
Skill level: This workshop is open to youth ages 14-18. No prior experience is necessary. Parent or guardian permission required.
Class Schedule: This class will run for 2.5 hours with no break planned.
Price: Free to income-qualified families making below 80% AMI. Proof of income required with registration. ( Such as Pay stubs or earning statements, SSDI award letter, SSD award letter, Food Stamps award letter)
