This past year has been amazing, y’all.
One year ago, we shared our big vision for how ReBuilding Center would harness reuse and repair to keep our neighborhoods whole. We shared plans to make our reclaimed materials and home repair classes even more affordable to support sustainable home repair, to offer free delivery to transit-dependent folks, and to open our workshop for the community to share.
We asked you to join us as we embarked on this journey toward a more beloved community.
You showed your support (thank you!). We did the work. We listened. We partnered. We evolved our vision. We’ve accomplished so much, with even more to come in 2023.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll highlight what we’ve accomplished and share stories from our community of shoppers, students, volunteers, and our amazing staff about all the ways they’re excited for our future.
We’ll also show you how ReBuilding Center, while continuing to be the funky, fun treasure trove of historic wonder, is starting to leverage our huge inventory of reclaimed materials and home repair classes as anti-displacement tools to preserve affordable housing and advance climate justice.
And we’ll explain why we can only do this new, important work with financial support from our community. That’s you!
Please join us by making a gift to our ReBuilding for Justice campaign by December 31, in support of safe, sustainable, affordable home repair for homeowners and renters with even more reclaimed materials in the new year. Thank you!
