sustainable woodworking: Woodturning

Never turned on the lathe before, or interested in learning a new woodturning skill? This class is for you! Make your very own magic wand while learning all about the basics of woodturning. From fingernail gouges and carbide tools to practicing beads and coves, this class will cover the foundations of woodturning.

Instructor Bio:

Lila is a sculptor with 10 years of experience in the field, including turning on the lathe and carving wood and ice. She received her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute, and spent years working at sculpture parks and museums around the US. Her teachers inspired her to continue honing her craft and to share woodturning with any and all eager students.

Skill level: This class is ideal for beginners ages 18 and over as well as 16 and 17 year-olds with parent or guardian permission

Class Schedule: Class will run for 3 hours with no break planned
