CUtting Board Crafting

Join us for an exciting hands-on class where you can transform your cutting board into a personalized masterpiece! Bring in your cutting board from a previous ReBuilding Center workshop, or an old one you have lying around, and take it to the next level by adding unique features such as handles, drip grooves, or reshaping its design.

In this session, you'll have access to a variety of tools, including the band saw, drill press, and jigsaw, allowing you to customize your board to fit your style and needs. Whether you're looking to create a functional kitchen tool or a stunning piece of art, our experienced instructors will guide you through the process, ensuring you gain confidence and skills with each cut.

Topics Covered:

• Safe and effective use of band saws, jigsaws, and drill presses

• Techniques for reshaping and enhancing your cutting board

• Creative design ideas for adding personal touches

Skill level: Beginners are welcome, though ideally you have some basic experience on a table saw or have taken a previous class with us. For ages 18+ as well as 16 and 17 year-olds with parent or guardian permission.

Class Schedule: Each class will run for 3 hours with no break planned
